# Caroline Anne Cosgrove

*A contemporary artist working primarily in acrylics. | Painting, Mural, Education | Based in Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica*

## Artist Statement

My art is deeply connected to nature, spirituality and my own journey through life. Living and painting in Costa Rica has surrounded me with rainforest, wildlife and the ocean, and these have become a constant source of inspiration.

I paint what moves me — animals, people, landscapes and spiritual imagery — often using symbolism to explore connection, transformation, healing and our relationship with the Earth. My Pachamama series reflects my belief that we are all part of nature, not separate from it, and that reconnecting with that sense of belonging can bring greater balance.

I have found a different outlet now after working with the amazing Mexican muralist's in Portugal. I understand the methodology, spirituality and meanings behind the murals. It was a life changing residential experience.

## About

Painter with thirty years of experience, working in acrylic on canvas and, more recently, murals. Her Pachamama series explores spiritual connection to Mother Earth and the return of feminine energy. Experienced teacher of outdoor painting and community arts.

## Portfolio

### Archangel Michael taming the beast (2026)

My first mural in Portugal, trying to keep the blue and white of the Portuguese tiles. This is showing how to overcome the ego and be born again in love. A personal reset.
My next mural will be here in Costa Rica, with the theme of Pachamama Rising from the earth amongst the flowers and the animals. She will be waking up from a deep sleep. I am drawing it now, so hopefully will be able to start soon.
