### African Madonna (2026)

*ink on cardboard*

At the centre of an African landscape, a woman holds her child in her arms. Wrapped in layers of draped fabric, her figure evokes both the traditional image of the Madonna and the everyday reality of a woman carrying the responsibility of new life. Behind them stretches the vast savannah, with sparse trees and elephants — an ancient, almost timeless world of nature.
The monochromatic graphic technique emphasises the sculptural quality of the figures, the intricate rhythm of the folds, and the quiet strength of the composition. The mother’s expression is calm and focused, while the child leans into her with natural trust. Their closeness contains no theatrical pathos — only an elemental and deeply human bond.
African Madonna revisits the ancient and universal image of motherhood, placing it within the specific landscape of Africa. Here, the Madonna is not merely a religious symbol, but an image of a woman protecting life within a vast and indifferent natural world.

### Samurai who defeated the serpent (2026)

*ink on cardboard*

In the fine arts, various authors turned to the image of the samurai and gave him their own interpretation. In her painting, the artist depicted a samurai defeating the serpent. The katana sword is the very samurai soul of the Serpent symbolizes chaos. Victory over the serpent means overcoming of chaos, submission of the lower nature, ascension of the spirit over matter.
And this confrontation does not necessarily have to happen outside. Sometimes the battlefield is the inner world of a person. Let us be such samurais at our hearts. Let us overcome our imperfections and rise above our previous imperfect state. And we will do this constantly, no matter how unattainable the ideal is. Samurai never stops, he always moves forward. He abandoned the goal. The path is all he has. He is what he is, because there is nothing else left for him. Snakes are also always reborn. They cannot be defeated once and for all. This fight is eternal.
