## Artist Statement

In the last decade or two I have worked primarily as a freelance graphic designer, and while I have always had ideas for personal work – occasionally  producing things now and then – I've not really focused on anything particular. As such I've kept myself content wandering, observing, taking notes and otherwise keeping my head down.

Regardless of production levels, or lack thereof, I have never stopped thinking or feeling like an artist. Although not particularly inclined to ponder what actually makes one an artist, or not, I suspect it has less to do with claims and output than it does with attitude and outlook.

## About

I don't fit within – or outside of – definable boxes and am generally disinclined to adhere labels to myself – however, not particularly conservative, left leaning and believe that practically nothing is binary.

Quite capable of objective, critical thinking (and commenting) and inclined to be more social than most people on social media – and elsewhere – claim to be, even if I may occasionally come across as a cynical curmudgeon.

I love art like I love life, I'm just not precious about it.
