# Introducing Artsume Scout: AI Opportunity Matching for Artists

# Introducing Artsume Scout

There are thousands of open calls posted on the web every week — grants, residencies, exhibitions, commissions, teaching posts. Almost none of them are built to find _you_. They sit on organization websites, aggregator feeds, and mailing lists, waiting for you to stumble across them before the deadline.

**Artsume Scout** is an AI agent that flips this around. Instead of you searching, Scout does the searching. Every day, it reads your Artsume profile and scores open calls from across the web against your practice, then hands you back a ranked list of the ones worth your attention.

## How Scout works

Scout uses everything you've already put on Artsume — your disciplines, artist statement, CV history, portfolio, career stage, and location — to understand what kind of artist you are and what kind of opportunities fit your practice.

Every 24 hours, it:

1. Pulls new open calls from across the web
2. Compares each one against your profile using embeddings
3. Scores the fit and writes a short explanation for why it matched
4. Delivers your strongest matches to your dashboard and inbox

The better your profile, the better the matches. Scout rewards artists who've done the work of filling out their CV, tagging their portfolio, and writing a clear statement.

## The "For You" tab

Head to [Explore](/explore) and you'll see a new **For You** tab next to the usual browse view. This is your personal Scout feed — only the opportunities that matched against your profile, ranked by match strength.

Every matched opportunity shows:

- A **match strength score** so you can tell at a glance how strong the fit is
- **Match reasons** — short phrases explaining _why_ Scout thought this was a fit ("matches your medium," "fits your career stage," "aligned with your recent exhibitions")
- All the usual opportunity details — deadline, compensation, location, how to apply

Tap through to the full opportunity page, save it, or apply directly. Scout matches live alongside regular Artsume opportunities, so applying feels identical.

## Weekly digest, straight to your inbox

Every week, Scout sends you a digest email with your top matches from the past seven days. One email, a handful of opportunities, each one personally ranked. No firehose, no filtering required — just the calls that are worth your attention this week.

You can opt out of Scout emails at any time from your [notification settings](/settings) without affecting the rest of your Artsume notifications.

## Subscribing to Scout

Scout is a paid feature. Subscribe from the [Scout page](/scout-for-artists) and you'll get:

- Daily AI matching against your full profile
- The **For You** tab on Explore
- Weekly digest emails
- Match reasons and scores on every matched opportunity

We built the checkout on Stripe, and promo codes work on the subscribe flow — if you've been sent one, enter it at checkout.

Free accounts still see Scout _teaser cards_ in the main Explore feed, so you can get a sense of what Scout has surfaced before subscribing.

## Build your profile now

The biggest input into your match quality is your Artsume profile. The more complete it is — CV entries, portfolio works tagged by medium, a clear artist statement, your disciplines, your location — the sharper Scout's matches become.

If you haven't yet, [import your CV](/settings/cv/import) and fill out your statement. A Scout subscription on a half-empty profile won't match as well as one on a full one.

This is the first release — Scout will get smarter as more artists use it and more opportunities flow through. We're working on scraper coverage, better match explanations, and faster feedback loops. If you try Scout and have thoughts, email us at [support@artsume.com](mailto:support@artsume.com).
