## About

Canada's national archives collecting and preserving 2SLGBTQIA+ histories, including books, papers, photographs and art.

The ArQuives is the largest independent 2SLGBTQIA+ archives in the world and, since 1973, the only 2SLGBTQIA+ archives in Canada with a national scope. Its mandate is to acquire, organize and preserve materials in any medium by and about 2SLGBTQIA+ people in Canada.

The collection includes books, archival papers, artifacts, photographs and art, and it can be searched online by keyword, collection, organization, person, media and artifact type. The ArQuives also offers public programming, physical and digital exhibitions, and education resources that help teachers bring queer and trans perspectives into Grade 9-12 English and History curricula.
