## About

Wales-based international visual arts organisation presenting a biennial exhibition and prize.

Artes Mundi is the flagship international visual arts organisation for Wales, based in Cardiff, UK. Founded in 2002, it presents a biennial exhibition and prize programme focused on contemporary artists whose work engages with social reality and lived experience. The organisation runs an ambitious public programme alongside co-creative partnerships, commissions, and community projects, both internationally and locally.

Centred on the ongoing examination of the 'Human Condition', Artes Mundi stimulates dialogue and debate that develops greater understanding of ourselves, others, and relations between cultures. As a registered charity, it relies on supporters and sponsors to continue its work with artists and communities.
