## About

Queensland's premier craft and design organisation, championing makers since 1970.

Artisan is Queensland's premier craft and design organisation, founded in 1970 and dedicated to leading, fostering, and profiling craft and design across the state. For over 55 years, Artisan has built pathways, created opportunities, and championed Queensland's craft and design practitioners—from emerging talent to established leaders. Makers and creators are central to everything they do, with programs focused on place-based development and partnership initiatives.

Artisan's flagship biennial exhibition, UNLEASHED, has been launching the careers of emerging makers and designers since 2004, making it one of Australia's most recognised platforms for early-career craft practitioners.
