## About

Independent artist-run space and multimedia studio in São Paulo, Brazil.

Canteiro is an independent artist-run space based in São Paulo, Brazil, centered on one of the few artist-run multimedia studios in Latin America built for experimental practice. Its facilities include a 70 m² acoustically treated studio originally built as a professional recording space, now used for sound art, video art, performance, installation and interdisciplinary research. Rather than offering only accommodation and studio space, Canteiro emphasizes an environment where research and experimentation are central to daily practice.

It connects visiting artists to São Paulo's broader ecosystem of exhibitions, independent spaces, curators and researchers through international residency programs.
