## About

UK foundation funding and championing art education for artists and schools.

Freelands Foundation is a UK-based foundation dedicated to supporting art education. It runs grant programmes such as the Learning Through Making Fund, offering awards of up to £25,000 to registered charities and CICs for visual art education projects. The foundation also supports artist fellowships and studio fellowships at UK art schools and universities, and organises the Freelands Awards, which celebrate excellence in art education.

Alongside its funding activity, it publishes editorial content — articles, films and podcasts — exploring teaching practice, pedagogy and material exploration in art education.
