## About

A nonprofit arts council in Denton, Texas offering galleries, events, and arts education.

The Greater Denton Arts Council (GDAC) is a nonprofit arts organization based in Denton, Texas, serving as a catalyst for creativity, advocacy, and collaboration in the local arts community. It operates out of the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center (PAAC), which houses three galleries — Festival Hall, Meadows, and Gough — hosting rotating contemporary art exhibitions from local, national, and international artists. GDAC offers educational programs, workshops, open studio hours, and a multi-purpose venue available for rent, along with community events such as open mic nights and performance art.

The organization also produces signature exhibitions, including the long-running Materials: Hard + Soft craft and digital art exhibition, and supports the arts community through membership, sponsorships, and an artist directory.
