The Joyce Foundation is a philanthropic foundation investing in evidence-informed public policies and strategies to advance racial equity and economic mobility across the Great Lakes region, spanning Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Its programs cover Culture, Democracy, Education & Economic Mobility, Environment, Gun Violence Prevention & Justice Reform, and Journalism. Through its Culture program, the Foundation supports inspiring creativity and cultural stewardship in the next generation and fosters culturally vibrant, equitable, and sustainable communities.

The Foundation celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2023 and now operates as a $1 billion philanthropy.
