# Lighthouse Works

*Residency • Fishers Island, NY, United States*

## About

Fishers Island organization hosting artists and writers through fellowships, exhibitions and public art.

Lighthouse Works connects artists and writers to Fishers Island, New York, supports the development of their work and creates opportunities for them to share it. Its Fellowship Program hosts a diverse range of cultural producers for six-week stays that include housing, food, studio space and a stipend, with an Artist Talk and Open Studio marking each fellowship.

Beyond the fellowship, it presents exhibitions, commissions public art such as Jyll Bradley's Portal (for Silver Eel Cove), and holds public happenings. Gifts to the organization are described as promoting the central role of the arts in society and sustaining the cultural vitality of the island.
