## About

Nonprofit magazine publishing essays, poetry and art on terminal illness, grief and mortality.

Months To Years is a nonprofit magazine co-founded in 2017 by Renata and Tim Louwers, who published its first issue in early 2018. It publishes essays, poetry and other creative work about terminal illness, end-of-life decisions, grief and mortality, drawing on the founders' own experiences of losing a spouse.

The magazine releases issues online, offers printed copies, and invites submissions from writers. It also leads online grief-writing groups based on narrative medicine practices and is building a creative writing community on Substack. Its team includes an editor, a design director and photo editor, a copyeditor and proofreader, and a poetry editor.
