## About

Volunteer-run Ridgewood art institute offering classes, exhibitions and lectures since 1935.

The Ridgewood Art Institute is a volunteer-run arts organization that has been in existence since 1935. It offers classes for adults and young people in drawing, oil painting, watercolor and pastel, taught by its own instructors at all levels from beginner to advanced.

Throughout the year it presents exhibitions, including an annual instructors show, a members' holiday show and an open juried show. It also hosts art lectures, workshops and artist demonstrations. Its galleries can be rented by artists, and it is supported by memberships, donations and volunteers from the local community.
