## About

An artist residency on Lake Saiko in Yamanashi, Japan, hosting international artists across all media.

SAIKONEON is an artist-in-residence program established in April 2019, located on the shore of Lake Saiko in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, within the natural landscape surrounding Mount Fuji, less than two hours from Tokyo. It provides a space for research, creation, and exchange for creators across a wide range of genres and media, including painting, photography, video, dance performance, and installation. The residency runs open calls throughout the year, selecting artists and creators based on the originality and excitement of their work and practice.

Since its founding it has hosted artists and designers from many different countries, aiming to foster encounters and creative exchange that cross regional and national boundaries.
