## About

An international art festival in rural Japan hosting artist residencies, performances, and exhibitions.

Kanna Art Festival is an international arts festival held in the Kanna/Onishi region of Japan, bringing together artists from around the world for residencies, performances, and exhibitions. The festival hosts both long-stay and short-stay artist residencies, welcoming practitioners of performance, dance, visual art, video, and interdisciplinary work. It organizes a series of public events including mask-making workshops, gallery openings, and outdoor performances rooted in local Japanese culture and tradition. The festival operates in partnership with local venues such as the Shiro Oni Art Center, creating a bridge between international contemporary art and the rural Japanese community.
