## About

International artist-in-residence village in Tainan's Jiali district, housed in a former 1906 sugar factory.

Soulangh International Art Village is an artist-in-residence program in Jiali District, Tainan, Taiwan. It runs open international calls for resident artists and exchanges with international art institutions.

The village is built around the former sugar factory warehouses of Jiali, dating from 1906, and links that industrial heritage to contemporary art. Resident artists make work on site, show their results in professional exhibition spaces and along the railway landscape, and may use heritage building materials in their practice.

Local engagement includes talks, workshops and presentations of results that connect the artists with the surrounding community.
