## About

Karlsruhe institution for art, media and technology combining museum, research and production.

ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe, founded in 1989, is an institution dedicated to an open concept of art in the digital age, combining a museum, media art collection and archive with research institutes, studios and a media theatre. It intertwines scientific and artistic research on the electronic arts, producing and presenting the evolution of art and media of the 20th and 21st centuries. Through exhibitions, symposia, publications, concert programs and digital formats, ZKM serves as a platform for discourse between art, technology, science, business and politics. Since 1997 it has been housed in the historic Hallenbau A industrial building in Karlsruhe, Germany.
