## About This Program

> "Contemporary visual art practices and trans-disciplinary projects promoting exchange, debate, experimentation and collaborative work"

´ace hosts 4-week Production and 2-week micro-Residencies. Residencies support contemporary visual art practices and trans-disciplinary projects (including performance art, sound art and curatorial proposals) promoting EXCHANGE, DEBATE, EXPERIMENTATION and COLLABORATIVE WORK. ´ace hosts residencies for artists, curators and researchers from a wide range of mediums and languages, such as print media, photography, video, performance art, sound art, installation, design as multiple object, digital media, artist books, painting, illustration, textiles, new media and the interweaving between them or with other contemporary art practices.

There is a fully equipped workshop for non-toxic print media techniques such as photolithography, engraving, screen printing, woodcut, mokuhanga, mokulito, monotype, algraphy, bookbinding and more, with presses, tools and an assistant available per request. Residents are expected to work on a specific project proposed by them or to do their own research without a specific outcome in mind; residency periods can end with an exhibition (not mandatory), artist talks, or open studio instances.
