## About This Program

### About

The Arts Burlington Holiday Sale is an event with creations from the guilds at the AGB. The BFAA is planning to be a big part of this exciting sale but its success is dependent on having good participation by our members. Our focus for this sale is to provide clients with small affordable paintings.

Location: Art Gallery of Burlington, 1333 Lakeshore Rd., Burlington

Submission Deadline: Tuesday November 3, 2026 at midnight

Sale Dates:
Saturday Nov 21, 10 am to 5 pm
Sunday Nov 22, 10 am to 5 pm

### Note regarding submission

- Please review this document completely, and keep it for reference.
- Initial submission to BFAA is online through Entrythingy
- After your submission by Entrythingy, the information you have entered will remain accessible to you should you need to refer to it again prior to drop off day. This information will be used to confirm your work at drop off.
- "Work in Progress" can be submitted to Entrythingy but there can be no substitutions with a different piece, once your piece is submitted
- Paintings will be organized for hanging by artist where more than one painting is submitted
- See Conditions of Entry below
- If you are having trouble with entrythingy please contact Darlene or Margaret at dpduncan7@gmail.com or mdentfineart@yahoo.com
- Consider volunteering for the Holiday Sale to make it a success

### Artist Bio Cards

- If you are a new member please make your first time Artist Bio Card. Note that the same Artist Bio Cards are used for any BFAA exhibition or sale (ie the Burlington Theatre Shows).
- If you already have done one, please DO NOT make any additions or changes at this time.
- The opportunity for updates will be given in January 2027 by separate communication.
- We saved cards from the Holiday sale so will be using these, and ask that when you pick up your paintings you turn in your cards for future reuse

### Submission Guidelines

- Members may submit up to four (4) artworks
- Entrance fee for 1-4 pieces is $20 total, payable by e-transfer PRIOR TO the start of the sale
- All sales are subject to a 20% commission
- Last Date of Submission – Tuesday November 3, 2026 at midnight
- NEW: The final call to entry closing date is FIRM. Volunteers need your support on this so we have time to prep for the sale. Remember you can write WIP (work in progress) on your submitted images if you still need to make some changes to your piece.

### Acceptable artwork selling price, size, and substrate requirements

- FYI: 2026 Holiday sale: In total we had 173 artworks by 49 artists that were entered. Overall 35 pieces (20%) sold. Of the 35 artworks that sold, 91% were priced at less than $150. Within this, the split was even between under $100, and $100 to $149.
- Art to be priced at a minimum of $50.00
- All paintings need to be properly labelled and wired as set out below
- Maximum size of artwork is 16” x 16” (maximum 16 inches in each direction; paintings may be square, round or rectangle as long as they fit into these dimensions). Maximum dimensions include framing. Single canvases only: No diptych or triptych, as an example. Space does not accommodate.
- Paper works are to be framed under glass/plexiglass. Unframed canvas pieces will be accepted only with neatly finished sides. Canvas depths of 3/4 inch to 2 inch are acceptable.

### Entrythingy

- Please follow instructions below so that volunteers can smoothly take in your artwork at the sale.
- The image file name must be in the following format: LastnameFirstname_title_size.jpg. Example: SmithMary_SpringMeadow_10x10.jpg.
- Use this same full image file name as the title of your piece in the spot that entrythingy has. Do not just use the title “SpringMeadow”

### Drop Off and Pick Up Information

- On arrival please line up in the designated area, until ‘doors open’. Consider arriving later during the drop off period to avoid the opening rush.
- Find a friend, family member or fellow artist to drop off and/or pick up your artwork, if you are not able to do so. Please email the Sale Team before drop off or pick up day who will be there in your place by sending an email to bfaaexhibits@gmail.com.

Continuing this year:
