# CAL Fall 2026 Judged Show

## About This Program

Conroe Art League hosts the virtual CAL Fall 2026 Judged Show, from which qualified winners are eligible to compete in LSAG's 2027 Annual Show. Judging is conducted online by Diann Zimmerman, artist, educator, and founder of Watercolor – Beginners and Beyond. Entries are accepted across categories including Oil/Acrylic, Watercolor/Acrylic, Pastels, Drawing/Printmaking, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, Abstract/Non-Objective, Sculpture, Fiber Arts, Jewelry, Glass, Wood, Ceramics and Experimental, with artists placed in Divisions I–V (Accomplished, Established, Emerging, Novice, Youth) based on experience.

Cash awards (based on number of paid entries) for Best of Show, Best Floral, Best Landscape and Best Student. Winning Adult CAL Members may display their work in the CAL Gallery (October 2026): no hanging fee, one docent shift per artwork required, docent training available. Best of Show winner is given a free 1-year membership to CAL.

## Eligibility & Requirements

- **Geographic Eligibility:** Regional
- **Disciplines:** oil, acrylic, gouache, oil pastel, watercolor, ink, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, digital art, abstract, sculpture, fiber art, jewelry, glass, wood, ceramics, experimental, oil painting, acrylic painting
- **Note:** Open to artists in Texas; artist's residence must be in Texas and entries from outside Texas will be declined. Artists do not have to be a member to enter this show; however, to enter eligible artwork in the LSAG Annual Show, artists must be a member of Conroe Art League or another LSAG league. Artwork must be original, may not have been painted on by any other person, and must have been completed in the last 2 years.

Subject matter must be family friendly. No Nudes. Submission limit: 1 application; adult artists may enter artwork with no maximum, student artists (18 and under) are limited to 3 artworks. Each artwork from an artist must be in the same division (I, II, III, IV, or V); an artist's artworks may be in different categories. Divisions: I Accomplished, II Established, III Emerging, IV Novice (created art for less than three years), V Youth (school aged preK-12).

### Additional Requirements

Submit through CaFE: create and upload all artwork images to your CaFE portfolio before applying, then apply to the CAL Fall 2026 Judged Show and complete checkout. Images: min 1, max 20. JPG only, longest side minimum 1,200 pixels, file size under 5 MB; do not include the frame in the image or measurements. For each artwork specify the width, height and depth, rounded up to whole inches.

Each artwork from an artist must be in the same division (I-V); artworks may be in different categories. Student artists 18 and under are limited to 3 artworks and must apply coupon codes (STU1ST, STU2ND) at checkout.
