### Judge of Awards

Shuk Susan Lee is a pastel artist based in Newton, MA. Having lived in Hong Kong and Boston and visited many multicultural cities abroad, Susan relates to diverse people and cultural themes. Her inspiration often comes from the places she has visited, the people she has met, stories or poetry she has encountered, and music that has moved her emotionally. Susan has created series in various genres, including portraits, landscapes, and cityscapes. Recently, her focus has been on painting figures in different settings, sometimes within surrealistic worlds. Her goal is to engage the audience through personal storytelling, as she believes that artwork must go beyond technique and touch the viewer's heart.

Susan has won awards in national and international juried shows and has exhibited at the National Arts Club and the Butler Institute of American Art. Her work has been published in American Art Collector magazine. A juried member of the International Guild of Realism, Salmagundi Club, and Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, she has also achieved “IAPS/Master Circle” and Signature status in the Pastel Society of America, in addition to the American Artists Professional League and seven other pastel societies.
