## About This Program

Art in the Making is Gallery Route One's Annual Juried Exhibition for 2027. Open to all artists currently living in Northern California. Juror: Mike Grady, Bay Area painter, writer and educator. Media: All media except video, crafts or installation. Size: Not to exceed 4' (48") in any direction.

Exhibition dates: Saturday January 9 – Saturday February 13, 2027. Reception and awards: Saturday January 9, 3-5pm. Jurying process is blind, done from digital images submitted through callforentry.org; during the jurying process any contact with the juror by an artist applying for the exhibition automatically disqualifies the artist. Juror will select six artists for awards.

Accepted artwork must be clean, framed, wired and ready to hang or place on a base; paint and any other materials must be dry, and each artwork must be clearly labeled on the back or bottom with artist name, phone #, email address, title of the work, medium, HxWxD, and price or NFS. Deliver work: Sunday January 3 2027, 5-7PM or Monday January 4, 10AM-2PM. Work that cannot be hand delivered must be shipped at the artist's expense both to Gallery Route One and from GRO if the work is not sold; artist must ship work in a returnable carton, and work that is not prepaid for return or not shipped in a two-way carton will not be accepted.

Artwork packed in Styrofoam will not be accepted. Pickup unsold work: Sunday, February 14 (10AM-2PM) or Monday, February 15 (10AM-2PM). Gallery Route One does not offer insurance to cover artwork while it is in the gallery or in transit. Artwork will be for sale unless the artist indicates NFS; Gallery Route One's commission is 45% and should be included in the sales price.

- **Note:** Open to all artists currently living in Northern California. Artist must currently live in Northern California. Submission limit: 1 application, up to a maximum of 4 total entries. Media: All media except video, crafts or installation. Size: not to exceed 4' (48") in any direction.

### Additional Requirements

Submit JPG images of 1 to 4 artworks (minimum 1, maximum 4 images; no audio or video). Entry fee $20 per artwork entry, up to a maximum of 4 total entries, plus a $20 media fee. Application fees are nonrefundable.
