## About This Program

> "The Wonder of Space"

Gallery Route One invites artists to apply to participate in the Artists in the Schools Program for the upcoming academic year 2026-2027. Artists approach the program's theme for the year through the lens of art making and art processes. The theme this year is The Wonder of Space.

Our talented teaching artists come from West Marin as well as the Greater Bay Area. In addition to supplementing art classes the artists are encouraged when possible to make relevant curriculum connections with math, science, English etc.

This is a contracted on-call position. Artists are sent to all the schools of West Marin serving TK-12th grades. Traveling to schools in West Marin is required. Schools are located in: Point Reyes Station, Inverness, Tomales, Bodega Bay, Lagunitas, Nicasio.

The culmination of the program ends with a wonderful exhibition of all the students' artwork at Toby's Art Gallery in Point Reyes Station in June.
