## About This Program

> "Emotional Cartography"

Mobile residency in a redesigned 1974 Airstream across Canadian landscapes, themed emotional cartography. Open to any discipline—performance, dance, music, film, theatre, writing, interdisciplinary. Cross-country relay format: each artist receives a creative constraint from the previous resident and leaves one for the next. No required deliverable; exploration over outcome.

## Eligibility & Requirements

- **Geographic Eligibility:** National
- **Disciplines:** performance, writing, dance, music, film, theatre, interdisciplinary
- **Note:** Open to Canadian artists working across any creative discipline. Given the close quarters of the Airstream, limited to solo artists, couples, or very close collaborators applying for 1 residency. Must be experimentally inclined and seeking to expand practice boundaries.

### Additional Requirements

Submit a 2–4 page PDF including: your guiding question (what inquiry calls you into Rhythm Dialogues); three proposed residency locations (at least 1 in Ontario/Quebec, with rationale for each); why this moment (how the opportunity intersects with your current practice); artist info (bio ~250 words, current base, images/links to work samples).

## Compensation & Benefits

$1,300/week project fee (1–4 weeks) + up to $1,000 travel support + $50/day food per diem

**Includes:** Stipend, Per diem, Travel grant

$1,300 per week project fee for 1–4 weeks duration. Up to $1,000 travel support. $50 per day food per diem. Compensation range of $1,300–$5,200 reflects project fee only; travel and per diem are additional.

## What's Provided

- **Housing:** Provided - Redesigned 1974 Airstream with bed, toilet, fridge, cooktop, cookware, dishes, air conditioning, and electricity. External/portable shower arrangements made locally (lake, gym, community facility, etc.).
- **Travel Support:** Available - Up to $1,000 travel support provided.
