# Summer in Patagonia: self-directed residency in printmaking practice

**Hosted by:** Taller Radal

## About This Program

> "Self-directed non-toxic printmaking practice"

During summer in the southern hemiphere, Patagonia, it is time to take advantage of the long, bright days. Surrounded by forests, lakes and mountains with mild days and cool nights, summer is a privileged season for hiking in the mountains, bathing in the lake and spending time outdoors. This type of residency offers time and space to carry out a printmaking project independently, applying all the techniques and resources available at the studio. It is an invitation to engage with practice and creative process. Facilities support etching with water based ground like BIG (Baldwin Ink Ground), photo etching with Press-n-Peel Blue, linocut and its variants (polychrome, lino reduction), mokuhanga (woodblock printing with water-basded pigments), lithography on polyester plate or pronto plate litography, photolithography with offset plates, lithography on recycled aluminium plates with citric acid, and tetra pack engraving.
