# Call for Expressions of Interest: Digital Artwork Display 2026, City of Pickering

## About This Program

The City of Pickering invites artists or artist teams to create 12–15 digital artworks for display in the lobby of the Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex. Themes include Welcoming, Safe and Healthy Communities; Connection and Innovation; Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency; and Sport and Recreation. Selected artist produces digital files reproduced as prints mounted in pre-existing frames (nine 40"×27", eight 36"×24", four 20"×16"). Original and pre-existing work considered. Budget up to $2,000 CAD including HST, covering all fees, taxes, travel, and expenses. City coordinates production and installation. Reproduction rights held for two years.

### Additional Requirements

Single PDF (max 20 MB) including: artist statement (1-page max describing interest and experience), concepts or images of pre-existing work fitting the project brief, CV/Portfolio with up to 15 images (10-page max, each with title, year, scope, budget, and short description), and at least 2 professional references with name, title, email, and phone number. ## Compensation & Benefits

$2,000 CAD maximum (including HST), covering all artist fees, taxes, travel, equipment, and related expenses

**Includes:** Commission fee

Maximum $2,000 CAD including HST. All related expenses covered within this amount: artist fees, taxes, detailed renderings, equipment, travel to meetings and site, and an artist statement. One round of revisions included after final design submission. Amount subject to change based on final confirmation of number of digital works.
