# Call for artists and creatives- Fall 2026

**Hosted by:** Ruby Mountain Project

**Type:** Residency | **Location:** Ruby Mountain Project, California, United States | **Deadline:** December 1, 2026

## About This Program

> "Integration of art, connection, and land stewardship"

Based near Joshua Tree National Park in southern California, Ruby Mountain Project is an evolving collaboration of artists, residents, and community members rooted in the integration of art, connection, and land stewardship. Community building and connection is created through the cohort model, the common spaces on the land and special events. Artists and creatives have the option of staying in vintage travel trailers, tents, or finding their own accommodations.

Private and shared studio spaces are in converted shipping containers as well as outdoor spaces. The residency program is for artists and creatives of most disciplines. We especially encourage those who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ and early career/ development to apply. Residency programming runs from September through May, with most cohorts being 3 weeks long.

1, 2 and 7 weeks stays are also possible. Most cohorts will have up to 3 artists at a time. Open studios, artist presentations and special events are possible. There are no expectations for specific amounts of work to be created or productivity: rest, play and experimentation are welcome.
