# DECEMBER ART RESIDENCY IN BERLIN

## About This Program

### About the Residency

LiTE-HAUS offers an intensive artist residency program for artists to expand and improve their practice in a serene and professional environment in the heart of Berlin's vibrant art scene. Artists of all ages, and at any stage of their careers may apply - from students to established artists. The program includes work stations, guidance, critique, insight into the inner workings of a culture space, and working directly with the program team leaders. This residency will be conducted in English language.

Artists may participate in a short group exhibition at the end of the program along with Berlin-based artists. This collaboration helps build an international community of artists. It is not imperative to participate in the exhibition, but we highly recommend the experience.

### Schedule

- Apply by: November 4 (no entry fee)
- Notification sent to selected artists: November 8 (or earlier, depending on application pool)
- Registration + 50% deposit due by: November 13 (Artists who are accepted and pay their deposit will be confirmed earlier)
- Fee balance due by: November 20
- Residency: November 28 - December 19 (arrival date is flexible)
- Art installation: December 15 + 16
- Opening Night (aka Vernissage): December 17 6pm-9pm
- Exhibition: December 17,18,19
- Dismantle + move out: December 20+21

### Cost

- COST (BERLIN ARTISTS): €400 (50% €200 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)
- COST (no lodging): €600 (50% €300 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)
- COST (with lodging): €1,200 (50% €600 non-refundable deposit due upon registration)

- **Note:** Open to both Berlin-based and international artists. Artists of all ages, and at any stage of their careers may apply, from students to established artists. This is not a grant funded program.

## Compensation & Benefits

COST (BERLIN ARTISTS) €400 (50% €200 non-refundable deposit due upon registration). COST (no lodging): €600 (50% €300 non-refundable deposit due upon registration). COST (with lodging): €1,200 (50% €600 non-refundable deposit due upon registration).

## What's Provided

- **Housing:** Provided - Housing at LiTE-HAUS is optional depending on the cost option chosen; cost without lodging is €600, with lodging is €1,200.
- **Studio Access:** Provided - Work stations provided in LiTE-HAUS's studio environment.
