Attendees have the chance to explore the vibrant and eclectic culture of Deep Ellum while supporting local and regional artists. We invite artists of every medium to apply. Preference is given to local and greater Texas-based artists first. Artists from further away will be considerd upon demonstrating a meaningful connection to Deep Ellum. **By the Deep Ellum commUNITY for the Deep Ellum commUNITY:** The most exciting part of this event is that it is all grassroots—wanted and created by the Deep Ellum Community. We honor the Deep Ellum Arts Festival that took place for nearly 30 years, while holding space for artists within our community. Working with the neighborhood, this event highlights the small businesses and local talent who make Deep Ellum the Soul of Dallas. This locally-produced event celebrates the artists who help define Deep Ellum as a creative and cultural hub, while welcoming artists from near and far away. ### General information The event will be held over 3 days April 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, 2027 on Crowdus Street in Deep Ellum. **IMPORTANT DATES** November 30, 2026 Application deadline, 11:59 p.m. CST December 11, 2026 Artists Notified of Invitation to Participate January 4, 2027 Payment Deadline for Invited Artists April 1 & 2, 2027 Artist Load-In April 2-4, 2027 5th Annual Deep Ellum Community Arts Fair Friday & Saturday: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. **BOOTH INFORMATION** Booth Fees: $550 per 10x10 space $1,100 per 10x20 space A limited number of discounted 10x10 spaces for emerging artists are available for $350. Must qualify as an emerging artist as determined by jury. Tent rentals $275 per 10x10 tent All artists must provide a professional tent with sidewalls or rent a professional tent with sidewalls or rent through our vendor(s). Professional display panels are not a requirement; you may choose to display your work on panels, grids, pedestals, tables, etc. at your discretion. This is a rain or shine event. We do not cancel for inclement weather. The show must go on! ### Rules and regulations **ARTWORK EXHIBIT POLICY** - The artist/exhibitor must be present during the entire festival. No agents or representatives may attend the event in place of the artist. - All artworks and exhibits must be created by the artist. - Original work by the artist must occupy at least 75% of the display space in the booth. - Accepted artists may only exhibit work in the medium or body of work submitted to the jury. Works exhibited are expected to be consistent with images submitted. - Collaborating artists are permitted. Each artist must be identified on the application. - Work made by a production studio is not permitted. - For more than one artist to display in a single (shared) booth, each artist must apply and receive an invitation separately. - All exhibits must be contained within the parameters of the tent space. An artist/exhibitor is not allowed to take up any space outside of their designated tent area. - AI "art" is strictly prohibited. - Resale (including Vintage) is strictly prohibited. - Adherence to policies is monitored. **SALES & USE TAX** Artists retain all revenue from the sale of their work. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting of all taxes, including sales tax. **WEATHER POLICY** This is a rain or shine event. Reasonable accommodations will be made to the best of our ability. Refunds will not be granted for inclement weather. ### Booth information and fees PLEASE NOTE THE APPLICATION IS OPEN FOR WAITLIST ONLY. Standard booth fee: $550 for 10'x10' space. Tent rental: $275 per 10'x10' A professional tent with four securable sidewalls is required. Artists providing their own tent with sidewalls will not be charged a tent rental fee. Tents must be weighted with a minimum of 60 lbs per leg. Limited discounted booths for emerging artists are available for $375 + tent. High-visibility corner booths are available first-come first-served for $750 + tent. **Setup & Teardown** - Setup for artists begins Thursday, April 2nd @ 10 a.m. - Teardown commences immediately after show, Sunday, April 5th. (Artists must be completely cleared out by 8 a.m. Monday. Overnight security is NOT provided Sunday night.) ### Jury details Average number of applications submitted each year: 350 Average number of artists selected from the jury to participate in the event: 125 Average number of exempt from jury artists who are invited to participate in the event: 7 Jurors score applications using the following scale: 1 - 10 Number of jurors scoring applications: 7 The show organizes the jurors for a single jury panel that scores applications for all medium categories. Discounted emerging artist booths are available for applicants who qualify as determined by jury. AI "art" and resale (including vintage) are strictly prohibited. The artist/exhibitor must be present during the entire festival; original work must occupy at least 75% of the display space.
