## About This Program

GearBox Gallery invites submissions of a cohesive body of work from artists living in the nine-county greater Bay Area. We will be selecting two artists to exhibit together in a two-person exhibition featured exhibition in our Main Gallery space, November 5 - December 19th. Opening Reception, Saturday, November 7th. The juried show is an opportunity for artists living in the Greater Bay Area's nine county region to potentially show a substantial body of work.

Artists may submit 8-12 images of artwork created in the last 5 years that would be ready and available for exhibition. Aim for 10 pieces, though if your work is on the larger side, 8 pieces will work, and if your work is on the smaller side, 12 images are welcome. Our curatorial team will choose from the submitted images to create a unique two person show.

We are looking for a strong body of work accompanied by an artist statement that together is cohesive. There are no size or media requirements. All will be considered. It is GearBox Gallery's mission to highlight artists in our Greater Bay Area region. As an Artist Run Gallery we take pride in programming GearBox Gallery as an asset to our community.

Eligibility Criteria

Artist must live within the 9 Greater SF Bay Area Counties; Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma, in California.
Artist should have a current, cohesive body of work created in the last 5-years.
There is a $35.00 processing fee per application, not per image.

### Additional Requirements

Submit 8-12 images of work that would be available to show in November along with a cohesive artist's statement. All entries must include title, medium, year and specific dimensions. Quality of images will be an important factor of the jurying process. Artist's statements should be about the work, not why you want to show at GearBox Gallery. All work must be for sale.

There are no media or size limitations, however, artworks must fit through a standard sized doorway. Wall hung work must be professionally presented and ready to hang (wire, d-rings, or cleat as applicable). Non-glare glass or plex is strongly encouraged for works under glass/plex. Free standing work must be stable. Artist may be requested to install complex, large or ceiling hung pieces.

## Compensation & Benefits

Artwork submitted must be for sale. If an artwork is sold, GearBox Gallery, LLC will mail a payment of 60% of the sale price of the work to the artist within 30 days of the close of the exhibit.
