# Call for Artists: "Message" International Exhibition

## About This Program

> "Message: meaning, communication, language, perception, contemporary social and cultural contexts"

CICA Museum invites artists worldwide to participate in the international exhibition Message. The exhibition explores art that examines meaning, communication, language, perception, and contemporary social and cultural contexts. The exhibition welcomes works that question the role of language and symbols, examine personal and collective forms of communication, and explore the relationships among media, memory, technology, and social interaction. We welcome photography, 2D digital art, video art, performance art, web art, interactive art, sculpture, painting, and installation art.

Categories: Photographs & 2D Digital Art; Video & Interactive Art; Physical Works (Painting, Drawing, Print, Sculpture, and Installation Art).

Installation: Photography/2D Digital Art — selected works printed (10×15 or 10×10 inches), framed, and installed by the museum team; other sizes available, additional fees may apply. Video & Interactive Art — projectors and media players provided; works needing exclusive projector use or more than two projectors may incur additional fees. Physical Works — artist is responsible for shipment to and from CICA Museum and all related expenses. 2D works max 39 inches (1m) on the longest side; installations max 39×39×79 inches (1×1×2m, w×l×h); wall-mounted works max 10 kg.

Exhibition Dates: December 2–20, 2026 (subject to change). If selected, artists contribute $78 USD (110,000 KRW) per piece to cover show processing and maintenance expenses.

### Additional Requirements

Send up to 3 direct video links and/or up to 5 JPG images (100–500KB recommended), plus artist bio, to submission@cicamuseum.com. Subject line: 'Submission: Message – Category – Artist's Name'.

## Compensation & Benefits

Free to apply. If selected, artists contribute $78 USD (110,000 KRW) per piece for show processing and maintenance.
