This show is designed to provide a showcase for artists that have work that appeals to a young, upwardly mobile professional audience. The event features high-quality juried fine art. ### Summary FERNDALE Fashionable Ferndale's downtown is a thriving business community with distinctive boutiques and bistros. The lively atmosphere attracts young upwardly mobile professionals. This show is designed to provide a showcase for artists that have work that appeals to that group. We feature art that shows more than a bit of creativity, that challenges the mind, or simply sparks the imagination. Artwork that does not sit quietly, but invites a reaction. Overall however, keep in mind, this is a high quality juried fine art show. Integrity Shows avoids the everything for everybody concept of shows. Our marketing is designed to bring people with the means and ability to buy your artwork. Our shows are widely praised for the effort placed toward supporting participating artists. We understand that your success is essential and we do what it takes to meet your needs. We average 35,000 shoppers attending over the weekend. You are required to have liability insurance. If you don't have a policy we can help you obtain it. ### Show Hours Note- these are last year's hours. They may be updated based on artist surveys. - Friday 5-9 - Saturday 10-9 - Sunday 11-6 Move-in is early on Friday morning. Standard Booths are 10.5 foot wide by 10.5 foot deep. We also offer 15.5 wide and 20.5 wide booths. Most spaces have some storage area behind the booth. 6 by 6 booths are available for those needing smaller spaces and include use of a tent. ### Booth Information and Fees Application Fee $30 Booths are tight. Our fire marshall is quite strict on maintaining lanes at all times. All booths are on Nine Mile. - 6 by 6 - $425 - 10 by 10 - $525 - 10 by 15 - $800 - 10 by 20 - $1100 - Corner add $100 - Electricity- LIMITED $125 We have arranged to have canopies available to rent at the show for those who want to travel lighter, or who want to experiment with different tents before buying. We also have white or black Flourish mesh hanging walls. ### Jury Details Average number of applications submitted each year: 225 Average number of artists selected from the jury to participate in the event: 110 Average number of exempt from jury artists who are invited to participate in the event: 40 Our three-year jury system gives artists more control over their schedule. Once you participate, you need not jury for the following two years. Restrictions: Apply by deadline, work must be significantly the same; you did not violate rules. Images are viewed by jurors on a computer monitor, sorted and viewed in random order within a medium category. Jurors score applications on a 1-7 scale, with 3-5 jurors scoring separately from various locations in a single jury panel that scores all medium categories. The jury process is closed to observation. ### Refund and Cancellation Policy You may cancel your participation at the art fair at any time and for any reason. If we receive your cancellation before August 6, you will be entitled to a full refund. Refunds will be made within 30 days after receipt. Cancellations by August 29 will receive a pro-rated refund. No refunds after August 29 unless the show is canceled. ## Eligibility & Requirements - **Geographic Eligibility:** International - **Disciplines:** All disciplines - **Note:** Artists must collect and remit Michigan sales taxes. Liability insurance with minimum $1 million coverage is required, naming the City of Ferndale and Integrity Shows, Inc. as certificate holder. Candles, soaps and fragrances are not accepted. AI-generated work is not accepted for this visual art fair. Kits, commercial molds, and copyrighted or trademarked images are not allowed.
