# Open Call: 6th Residency Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá

**Hosted by:** R.A.R.O. (Residencias Artísticas Raramente Organizadas)

**Type:** Residency | **Location:** Bogotá, Bogota, Colombia | **Deadline:** December 11, 2026

## About This Program

R.A.R.O. is an international residency program that proposes an alternative model based on a wide network of studios and cultural spaces, rather than a single workspace: over 28 local artists' studios, art departments from public and private universities, and other interdependent cultural projects welcome residents and support their creative processes. The 6th Edition R.A.R.O. Bogotá consists of a period of six (6) weeks, of which four (4) weeks are dedicated to working in the selected studios, where residents develop their processes, connect with other artists in the program and meet the local artists working in each space.

The residency concludes with a one (1) week final exhibition, mounted alongside a mounting team and the edition's curator. Additionally, residents have curatorial meetings, workshops and advisory sessions from the R.A.R.O. Team, as well as tours and visits through the city's artistic circuit, visits to museums and public and private collections, artist talks, field trips, work critiques and group photographic documentation. The multidisciplinary nature of R.A.R.O. allows residents to work in two or more workshops within the network.

## Compensation & Benefits

The scholarship, if awarded, only covers the cost of the residency; it does not include additional expenses such as travel, materials, accommodation, food or others.
