### Opportunity Summary

In June and July 2027, the Big Gay Art Show will return to the Sedona Arts Center exhibition schedule. The Big Gay Art Show is a juried art show that exhibits and sells artwork in support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The show will run from June 4-July 18, 2027, on-site at the Sedona Arts Center.

### General Information

The Big Gay Art Show is a juried art show that exhibits and sells artwork in support of the LGBTQ+ community and allies. The Big Gay Art Show is a much anticipated, well attended exhibition open to all artists, not just in the LGBTQ+ Community, but ALL ALLIES as well in any medium and of any level.

In 2012, the Big Gay Art Show was conceptualized by a small group – some connected to SAC and others in the Sedona Pride organization. The event began as an effort to offer the LGBTQ+ community a voice in the local art scene. Since that first show, SAC has welcomed hundreds of emerging and professional artists to Sedona to share their work throughout the history of the event. All art mediums will be accepted.

- Monetary awards will be given for First Place/Best of Show Award ($500), Second ($250) and Third ($150) place.
- Honorable mention awards will be awarded at the discretion of the jurors and no monetary amount attached.
- People's Choice Award is announced at the end of the show. No monetary award attached.

DEADLINE for Submission: May 1, 2027.

Notifications sent by May 7, 2027.

Work being shipped must be received by June 2, 2027 or hand delivered by June 2, 2027. The show will run from June 4-July 18, 2027, on-site at the Sedona Arts Center.

Opening Reception: June 4, 2027, 4-6pm

Promotion of the Exhibit & Disclaimer: We ask that juried artists participate in promoting the exhibit through their website and social media channels. While Sedona Arts Center will actively promote the exhibition through press releases, eblasts, our website, and social media channels, we cannot guarantee that all artists' expectations regarding promotion and exposure will be fully met. We ask for your understanding as we strive to reach the widest audience possible, but limitations in outreach and the dynamic nature of art promotion may mean some artists may not experience the level of visibility they anticipate.

### Application Requirements

Image Format: Each artist can submit up to three (3) images of their artwork in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images should include the title of the piece in the file name. In addition, please list the title, dimensions, medium and price of your pieces on the Entry Form.

Entering Your Images: List sizes up to the nearest inch. Submitted images must not include matting or frame. Crop the photos to include only the artwork. Be sure your images are right-side-up.

### Eligibility Criteria

Emerging to professional artists, 18 years and older can apply. Artwork must be made within the last 3 years and cannot have been on display in any other Sedona Arts Center Exhibition.
