## About This Program

> "Tracks & Trails: Marks Left Behind — animal, human and industrial tracks and what is left behind on the land"

View Art Center in Old Forge, NY seeks works of art in all media exploring the theme of Tracks relating to animal tracks, people tracks, industrial tracks, and what is left behind. Tracks & Trails: Marks Left Behind investigates the stories written upon the land, whether that be footprints, pathways, skiing, snowshoeing, ski-mobiling, or industrial tracks: railroads, bridges, and winter logging. These subtle remnants reveal what has passed through, lingered behind, and become part of the landscape's memory.

The exhibition will feature works in all media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, and photography. The exhibition will be open in View's largest galleries from December 11, 2026 - March 6, 2027.

## Eligibility & Requirements

- **Geographic Eligibility:** National
- **Disciplines:** painting, sculpture, mixed media, fiber, photography
- **Note:** All Media accepted, label all detail photos "DetailTitle". All work must be able to be moved/placed by one person. All entries must be of original design and personal execution created within the past 3 years. Artwork previously shown at View is not eligible. View is a public non-profit art center open to everyone; as such, the content of submissions should be appropriate for all visitors.

Submission Limit: 1.

### Additional Requirements

Submit through CaFÉ: set up or log into a CaFÉ profile and upload artwork as digital files to your portfolio, then search for "Tracks & Trails: Marks Left Behind" under "Apply to Calls" and follow entry instructions. Total of 1-5 media files (images min 0/max 5, audio min 0/max 5, video min 0/max 5). Image size should be the unframed dimensions of your work; label all detail photos "DetailTitle".

Entry fee $35 for one work; each artist may submit a total of 3 works, with each additional image and/or entry costing $10.

## Compensation & Benefits

The Artist receives 65% commission, and View receives 35% commission on any sales made during or resulting from the exhibition at View. All shipping is at the expense of the artist; you must include a prepaid shipping label for the return of the work.
