# Summer in Patagonia. Long days and starry nights. Printmaking residency

**Hosted by:** Taller Radal

**Type:** Residency | **Location:** Taller Radal | **Deadline:** September 7, 2026

## About This Program

> "Non-toxic printmaking"

During summer in the southern hemisphere, Patagonia, it is time to take advantage of the long, bright days. Surrounded by forests, lakes and mountains with mild days and cool nights, summer is a privileged season for hiking in the mountains, bathing in the lake and spending time outdoors. Three modalities: a Guided Training Residency for learning or specializing in printmaking techniques and non-toxic printmaking; a Technical research residency in non-toxic printmaking for experienced printmakers; and a Self-Directed Residency in Printmaking Practice offering time and space to carry out a printmaking project independently, applying all the techniques and resources available at the studio.

Facilities support linocut and its variants (polychrome, lino reduction), lithography on polyester or pronto plate, photolithography with offset plates, lithography on recycled aluminium plates with citric acid, tetra pack engraving, blind embossing and collagraph, plus etching and aquatint with salt mordant and mokuhanga.
