## About This Program

> "Barns, farms, rural landscapes, and the passage of time in Frederick County; atmospheric fired ceramics"

Artspiration Frederick invites artists and ceramicists to submit original work inspired by barns, farms, rural landscapes, and the passage of time in Frederick County. From plein air painting, weathered wood, and rusted metal to atmospheric fired ceramics that embrace the elements, we want to see your interpretations! Atmospheric fired ceramic submissions do not have to be Frederick County specific.

Submissions do not have to be farm focused. Ceramics Juror: Tony Clennell, a second-generation Canadian potter who has taught workshops in Canada, the US, Japan, China, Korea, Wales, Italy and Portugal. Plein Air Juror: Kimberly Yourick, founder and manager of Lockhouse Gallery in Brunswick, Maryland.

## Eligibility & Requirements

- **Geographic Eligibility:** Regional
- **Disciplines:** ceramics, painting, sculpture, photography, mixed media
- **Age Requirements:** 18+ years old
- **Note:** Open to visual artists 18 years and older residing in the continental US. Location Eligibility Type: Regional. Eligible Applicant Types: Artist. All media accepted (2D, 3D, ceramics, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc.). Work must be original.

Work must be exhibition-ready. All artwork must be for sale. Plein air artists: Art of the farms and barns of Frederick County, MD. Ceramics: Regional artists. You may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration; up to 3 may be selected. Submission Limit: 1.

### Additional Requirements

All entries must be completed online by 11:59 EST on September 11, 2026, through CaFÈ; you will need to set up a free account at callforentry.org. A nonrefundable $35 entry fee is required at the time of application. Submit 1-3 images (min 1, max 3); no audio or video. You must submit a high-resolution image (300 dpi) for the jury process. All artwork must be for sale.

All 2-dimensional works must be properly framed, and a wire for hanging must be attached securely to the back — absolutely no sawtooth hangers. All accepted work must have a label securely attached to the back (2D) or base (3D) with Artist Name / Title of Art / Price. Make sure prices are correct in your CaFE portfolio; price changes will not be accepted once a piece is entered. Artists may submit up to 3 works.
