# We're Crankie: Crankie Fest 2027

## About This Program

### About This Call

Apply to be a part of the second ever crankie fest in Bloomington, IN. You can apply with a proposal of what your crankie will be or one you've already made. Every artist must make their own crankie scroll. Crankie boxes can be made by other people, but their name will need to be provided for credit in the show program. Crankies can be any medium. Crankies will be projected on a screen for better audience viewing.

Festival to be in April 2027; show to be two days at the downtown public library auditorium. Official show date will be chosen closer to spring because of MCPL reservation rules. There will be two practice performances for a show run through/soundcheck, and at least one practice is mandatory. The festival will also be recorded by the Community Access Television Services (CATS).

This festival showcases the work of artists at any point in their artistic career. No experience required.

**AI art will NOT be accepted and will ban you from applying in the future. We are celebrating a hand made art.**

- **Disciplines:** All disciplines
- **Note:** Open to artists at any point in their artistic career. No experience required. Every artist must make their own crankie scroll. Crankie boxes can be made by other people, but that person's name must be provided for credit in the show program. AI art will not be accepted and will result in a ban from applying in the future.

### Additional Requirements

- A proposal of what your crankie will be, or a crankie you've already made
- The crankie scroll must be made by the applying artist
- If the crankie box was made by someone else, that person's name for show-program credit
