## About This Program

> "Open — all genres and mediums"

Organised by Fringe Arts Bath, this open call welcomes all Visual Artists, at any stage of their career, from across the globe. Now in its 14th year, the Bath Open Art Prize accepts submissions across all genres and mediums; including video, painting, photography, textile, digital, print and 3D. Small installations and performance will also be considered. 2026 judges Simbah Pilé and Jemma Hickman will select works for a group show, as well as 1st and 2nd prizes.

They will not only be considering the quality of the works, but also FaB's more open and less formal approach to visual arts.

Prizes include: Selected works exhibited from 16 Oct to 31 October 2026 at 44AD artspace in Bath, UK; 1st Prize: £750 cash sponsored by Fringe Arts Bath; 2nd Prize: £250 cash sponsored by The Bell Inn; People's Choice: £50 art vouchers, sponsored by Minerva Arts Supplies; Solo Exhibition Opportunity provided by 44AD artspace.

## Eligibility & Requirements

- **Geographic Eligibility:** International
- **Disciplines:** painting, photography, textile, digital, printmaking, mixed media, conceptual, sculpture
- **Note:** Open to all Visual Artists at any stage of their career, from across the globe; open to all artists worldwide, of all ages, working across all disciplines. All works submitted must be original works by the named artist. Very large works may not be able to be displayed.

### Additional Requirements

Submit original work(s) by the named artist; £22 for 1 artwork or £33 for up to 3 artworks. Videos - submit using a link (if selected, send the file). Provide prices for any works for sale.

Selected works must be delivered ready for hanging:

- unframed canvases can be hung on the stretcher
- framed works prepared with D-rings & string (ideally no mirror plates)
- all work labelled with artist's name, contact details, title, medium and price (if for sale)
