# Ocean VI Edition, Virtual Art Residency Program

**Hosted by:** MANGO Residencia para Artistas / Moku Art Studio

**Type:** Residency | **Location:** Punta Indio | **Deadline:** April 19, 2026

## About This Program

> "Ocean"

Ocean Virtual Art Residency
In this program, artists develop a project that aligns with the residency's theme and results in a clear, tangible outcome. Their work explores the many dimensions of the OCEAN, whether through technical approaches, conceptual inquiry, personal reflection, or experiential research. Inspired by the UN Ocean Decade, each project should thoughtfully engage with ocean conservation, education, and the broader efforts to protect and sustain our marine environments.

6 weeks
1 invited scientist speaker
Virtual Open Studio

What's Included:
* Mentorship Sessions: Take part in five live virtual meetings with experienced mentors, designed to support your creative growth.
* Ocean-Inspired Projects: Explore the theme of the Ocean through your own unique lens—whether that means diving into technical processes, conceptual thinking, personal reflection, or sensory experience.
* Creative Feedback: Receive thoughtful, practical guidance to help develop your ideas, improve your techniques, and shape your artistic direction.
* Collaborative Exchange: Work alongside fellow artists in your cohort, sharing ideas, inspiration, and creative processes through meaningful collaboration.
* Enhance your perspective: special guest/s from scientific community attend to give concrete data of the ocean.

The total cost of the 6 weeks programs is $290 USD (United States dollars) and for the 9 weeks program is $450 USD (United State dollars).
We are self-sustainable and non-profit spaces and currently do not receive financial support from public or private entities.
The costs will cover:
• Active participation in the Virtual Artist Residency (which includes active participation with other artists in the residency, with members of MANGO Residencia para Artistas or Moku Art Studio, and in meetings with special guests).
• Access the marine scientific community.
• Participation in the Virtual Open Studio and the Virtual Exhibition.
• Promotion of the artist during the program, promotion of the program itself, promotion of the Open Studio, and the virtual Exhibition.
