## About This Program

### Summary

Deerfield, Illinois is the location of the returning and already loved 5TH Annual Deerfield Art Festival. The Deerfield Art Festival takes place in the bustling "North Shore" community of Deerfield, about 25 miles north of Chicago. The average household income in Deerfield is over $200,000 and homes average over $500,000 making this an extremely wealthy community. Over 40% of Deerfield residents have graduate degrees and there is an active Arts Commission making this community a wealthy and art educated crowd.

This festival will feature about 100 juried artists and artwork of all mediums. The Deerfield Art Festival is free and open to the public. Live music, great food and fun activities for kids make the festival a perfect family experience.

### General information

- Suburban show
- Fine Art sells well
- Artist Sales: Artists keep all their sales income from the show.
- Exhibitor Spaces: About 100 spaces
- Staff Support: Amdur Productions staff is present on site throughout the entire festival to assist artists from load in to load out.
- Load-in: Friday afternoon and Saturday morning load-in. Artists will be able to drive up to or very close to their booth space and unload their vehicle.
- Booth Sitting: Amdur Productions staff is available to booth sit for artists throughout the entire festival.
- Artist Parking: Amdur Productions reserves close day and overnight parking for artists at no additional cost
- Equipment Rental: Tents, tent weights, tables and chairs available for rent. Fees apply.
- Pro Panel Rental: Limited "pro-panel" walls available for artists on a first come/first served basis. Fees apply.
- Set Up/Take Down Help: Booth set up and take down assistance available on a scheduled, pre-reserved time. Fees apply.
- Hotel Rooms: Amdur Productions works to provide discounts at local hotels for each festival.
- Marketing: A large multi-layered marketing plan with ads in newspapers, radio, posters, street banners, social media, and direct mail postcards.
- Security: Overnight security is provided.

### Important dates and deadlines

- Through November 30, 2026: Early Bird Application Promo
- January 18, 2027: Application due
- February 18, 2027: Notifications of festival status online
- February 19, 2027 and Thereafter: Late applications accepted
- March 18, 2027: Registration forms and show fees due (in full or half)
- March 19, 2027 and Thereafter: Late payments apply, $20 per festival
- April 1, 2027: Last day for refunds (less $50)

### Booth information and fees

- 12' Wide by 10' Deep Exhibit Space Fee: $550
- 20' Wide by 10' Deep Late Exhibit Space Fee: $1,100
- Corner Fee Upgrade: Additional $200

In most fests, spaces are 12' wide by 10' deep and work must be contained within the assigned space. Exhibitors must have a white tent, properly weighted with at least 50 pounds per leg. All tables must be skirted to the ground. Only one artist's work or the work of two approved collaborating artists may be displayed per booth.

### Rules and regulations

- All artwork submitted to jury, displayed and presented for sale at festivals must be created, designed and made or made under the direct supervision of the accepted artist(s). All artwork shown must be for sale.
- An artist may apply in more than one category, but not twice in the same category.
- Art collaborators (up to two artists in total) producing a single body of work qualify as an exhibitor.
- AI art is accepted when clearly identified as such; the author artist must be the person applying and must be in person at the festival if selected.
- No work made solely by apprentices or employees is allowed. All artwork must be made in the country the artist resides in.
- Buy/sell items are strictly prohibited from all or part of an artist's booth.
- Limited editions (up to 500, hand manipulated or signed/numbered reproductions) are allowed as original work.

- Average number of applications submitted each year: 130
- Average number of artists selected from the jury: 90
- Average number of exempt-from-jury artists invited: 10
- Jurors score applications on a scale of 1-7
- A single jury panel scores applications for all medium categories, separately from various locations

- **Note:** All artwork submitted to jury, displayed and presented for sale must be created, designed and made, or made under the direct supervision of, the accepted artist(s), and must be made for sale. An artist may apply in more than one category but not twice in the same category. Jewelry made through fabrication and casting is allowed if the original casts are made by the artist; no commercial casts or molds are permitted.

Photography and digital art must be made by the hands of the photographer, with printing done by or under the supervision of the photographer. Collaborators (up to two artists) producing a single body of work qualify as one exhibitor and must note the collaboration on the application. No work made solely by apprentices or employees is allowed, and all artwork must be made in the country the artist resides in.

Buy/sell items are prohibited in all categories. Reproductions and limited editions are allowed within stated limits. AI-created art is accepted when clearly identified, and the human author must attend in person if selected.
