## About This Program

> "Civic pride, community engagement, diversity, and celebration of Pickering's natural, social, and built environment"

Digital public art commission for seven street banners to be installed on City of Pickering light poles along Kingston Road, Valley Farm Road, Glenanna Road, and Pickering Parkway. Artwork should engage Pickering's diverse communities, celebrate the city's natural, social, and built environment, and bring colour, beauty, and vibrancy to civic spaces. City handles fabrication, installation, site prep, and permitting; artists are responsible only for creating digital designs. Banners will be on display for approximately two years. Retired banners may be repurposed for future displays or new temporary public art in recognition of environmental impact of excessive plastic production.
