When I was little, my dad would stop at the side of the road on the way to ouma and oupa's house. My mom, my sister and I would pick large bouquets of cosmos to take to our grandparents' house. They don't last long without water, and even then they wilt quickly. But they are beautiful for that short while and the memories have lasted decades.
