My mom, grandparents, and aunties set in front of 256 East Pender Street in Vancouver's Chinatown, circa 1972. This is where our family's grocery store (Le Kiu) was located, owned and operated by my grandfather and his brothers. My mom worked at the store when she was in high school. The building is known today as the May Wah Hotel and is noted as a historic site in Canada.
