Description

ANAHITA – THE FEMININITY OF THE UNIVERSE Monumental Mixed-Media Artwork by Haci Sami Yaman Anahita is a monumental artwork created by Berlin-based Outsider Artist Haci Sami Yaman around 2024. Extending up to approximately 25 metres, the work explores creation, femininity, consciousness, transformation and the symbolic relationship between humanity and the universe. The artwork was developed on a specially prepared, compressed nonwoven roll through an intensive physical and artistic process. Multiple layers of material and acrylic colour were applied and worked with palette knives and other tools. The surface was refined, sanded and repeatedly polished under considerable pressure, then treated with cotton before intricate drawings, numerical structures and calligraphic elements were introduced. Natural fragrances became another important part of the process, connecting visual expression with touch, memory, scent and emotional experience. The artist describes these fragrances as vegan in origin. He recalls the pleasure of rubbing them into the surface: moments of laughter and feeling as though he were on cloud nine. This sensory and emotional experience belongs to the work’s creation story. Anahita explores the artist’s interpretation of energy formations, evolving structures of consciousness, human history, mythology and the transmission of knowledge across generations. Mathematical formulas, numerical sequences and symbolic registers represent imagined interactions, reactions, transformations and mutations within interconnected fields. The work also reflects on ancient representations of divine powers and their continuing presence in cultural memory, religious traditions and human consciousness. Yaman’s personal CA1, CA2 and CA3 codex systems connect biographical time, cosmic symbolism and spiritual reflection. Nanoseconds, multidirectional thought streams and imagined energy fields form part of this visual and philosophical language; they are artistic interpretations, not experimentally established scientific laws. Through Anahita, Yaman seeks to create a dialogue between physical matter, artistic imagination, spirituality, memory and the forces of creation.
