perla grande, 2026

Description

An homage to black pearls, mythology, and sculpture, this fine art model photograph seamlessly blends body painting and sculptural art, This piece is part of the exhibition Mare, which explores the artist's relationship with the sea. Inspired by a mythological figure and the beauty of the black pearl, the work brings together mythology and the natural world to explore themes of mystery, transformation, and resilience. The black pearl, shaped over time within the depths of the ocean, symbolizes rarity, strength, and hidden beauty, while the mythological figure evokes the enduring stories and symbolism that have long connected humanity to the sea. Together, these elements invite viewers to reflect on the sea as a place where myth, nature, and imagination converge.
