Us, Together/ line drawing I, 2015

Description

This drawing was created using a nib pen dipped in red acrylic ink, studiously placing line over line to create the two shapes on the paper. This drawings was created by placing the line drawings of imagined sculptures over each other and tracing those lines with red acrylic ink in a painstaking process. These overlapping 2-dimensional line forms eventually creates a new image. Working like this – repetitively and without a clear idea of outcome – allows me a ‘space’ to process thoughts and events. While creating this drawing I was sitting with ideas around separation and connection.
