Us, Together/ line drawing I

This drawings was created by placing the line drawings of imagined sculptures over each other and tracing those lines with red acrylic ink in a painstaking process. These overlapping 2-dimensional line forms eventually creates a new image. Working like this – repetitively and without a clear idea of outcome – allows me a ‘space’ to process thoughts and events. While creating this drawing I was sitting with ideas around separation and connection.

This drawing was created using a nib pen dipped in red acrylic ink, studiously placing line over line to create the two shapes on the paper.
