Allowing an Opening 2026 Mixed media | Acrylic, chalkboard paint & gesso on hand-stretched raw canvas varnished for protection and preservation signed and dated by artist on reverse of canvas 40"x22" $1025 2026: This series originated as a commentary on shared values during uncertain times. While society’s focus shifted toward artificial intelligence, I chose to create these works entirely by hand. Raw canvases—material new to me—were stretched manually, and I experimented with fresh materials and techniques directly onto the unprimed surfaces. My aim was to convey physical gestures through vibrant colors and an earnest, childlike attention. Each piece emerged quickly, guided by intuition and natural flow. These works exhibit significant depth, prioritising emotional engagement and presenting a sophisticated aesthetic.
