Time Travellers Series: Slit Light, 2025

Description

Artwork Backstory: She leans out from the folds of an alternate dimension. Flowers take eyes for stamens, coiling around her like shackles—a strange form of parasitism that holds back her steps onward. Beyond the rift, distant mountains shelter the mundane world smoothed by kitchen smoke: straight streets stretch out, and daily life rests upon steady, unflickering flecks of light. Fish drift by with amber tails, shattering the membrane separating realms. Starlight shed from their scales embodies hope as faint and delicate as breath. It belongs to the vivid hues of this realm, yet reaches for the clarity of the other, weaving gilded threads that bind confinement to longing.
